Beyond being in the middle of a pandemic and in one of the worst aviation crises in history, American Airlines updated its reservation system with important news on its routes between the United States and Chile.
As of May 7, the US company will begin operations between New York and Santiago. American will have three weekly frequencies in the Boeing 777-200 (ER), with a capacity for 273 passengers.

American Airlines routes between the United States and Santiago de Chile
- Dallas – Santiago de Chile – Dallas: returns March 27.
- Miami – Santiago de Chile – Miami: 7 weekly frequencies.
- New York – Santiago de Chile: from May 7.
In this new route, American Airlines will have direct competition with LATAM, which would resume operations between Santiago de Chile and New York with the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner from July.
