American Airlines expects to return to Boeing 737 MAX by year-end | Abroad

The American airline American Airlines expects to be able to fly again with the Boeing 737 MAX by the end of the year. That plane is aground after two fatal crashes in which 346 people lost their lives.

The American aviation authority FAA issued a flight ban on the 737 MAX in March last year. Now, after extensive testing, it would be approved again, but it is not yet clear when exactly. The FAA said last week that it does not want to be pinned down to a deadline.

American Airlines also admits that certification from the FAA is first necessary to be able to use the aircraft again. “But to make sure that American Airlines is ready, once certification is complete, our crew must be able to plan their schedules,” he said.

In the schedule of the American airline, the aircraft is scheduled for one flight per day, from December 29 to January 4, on the route between Miami and New York. Customers who reserve a ticket are already notified now.
