A disaster befell the airline American Airlines. That was after his official vehicle crashed into a garbarata.
Launch CNN, Sunday (30/4/2023), an American Airlines employee died at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, Texas. The incident occurred while operating a ground service vehicle that crashed into an aerobridge, authorities said.
Austin-Travis County Police and Emergency Medical Services who were called to the airport found the employee with clear signs of trauma on his body.
“Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries,” Corporal Destiny Silva of the Austin Police Department said in a news conference Thursday.
The incident was being investigated for accidental death and airport operations were not affected, said Silva.
“We can confirm that Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) has responded to an incident of an American Airlines employee on the apron near Gate 24 in AUS this afternoon,” Bailey Grimmett, the airport’s public information specialist, said by email.
He added that the airport staff was working with airlines and emergency services personnel.
CNN has contacted the offices of the Travis County Chief Medical Examiner and American Airlines but did not receive an immediate response.
