Aircraft Boeing 777 owned by the airline American Airlines made an emergency landing at Los Angeles airport, United States after the pilot reported possible mechanical problems.
American Airlines said the plane, a 23-year-old Boeing 777 according to Airfleets Aviation, took off from Dallas Fort Worth, Texas, and landed in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday (13/3) local time without any incident.
“The plane taxied to the gate under its own power and the passengers disembarked from the plane normally,” the United States airline said in a statement, as quoted by Reuters and Al ArabiyaThursday (14/3/2024).
Flight AA 345, with 249 people on board, landed safely on Wednesday (13/3) at around 20:45 local time. There were no reports of injuries to passengers or flight crew.
The incident comes amid growing concerns over technical and safety problems with Boeing’s aircraft.
Recently, a plane Boeing A United Airlines 777-20 that took off from San Francisco International Airport to Japan made an emergency landing in Los Angeles after one of its landing gear came off. The plane was carrying 235 passengers, four pilots and 10 flight attendants.
