The state executive commented that despite the health emergency generated by the covid-19 pandemic, in Baja California Sur work continues to strengthen the tourism industry and continue to be the engine of the economy and well-being of all.
“Today Loreto is a consolidated destination, where more flights will arrive throughout the year, they will bring a significant number of more passengers, which will allow the tourism business to be strengthened, that there is an economic benefit, that employment is generated and that there is well-being. It is a momentous moment and I feel proud and happy to be fulfilling Loreto, feeling my duty fulfilled and leaving this destiny that is called to do extraordinary things on track ”, he said.
During the opening ceremony of the first flight, it was also announced that due to the success of this new route, the flight season that was initially planned from December to April will be extended to four more months; that is, until the summer.
In this act in which he was accompanied by the mayor, Arely Arce Peralta and the Secretary of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability (SETUES), Luis Humberto Araiza López, the South Californian president said that this is an important achievement for the entire entity, since the arrival of more visitors translates into the economic reactivation and job stability of the entire value chain led by tourism.
Likewise, he stressed that the launch of this flight contributes to the promotion and positioning of the destinations in the north of the entity, in the nature and culture segments due to their proximity to this Magical Town.
In that sense, he recalled that the biosecurity measures that are implemented in the entity’s airports, as well as inside companies and shops, guarantee the safety and hygiene of tourist services and facilities, giving certainty and confidence that BCS is a safe destination to travel.
“What is happening today is a reality because we have also achieved a responsible management of the pandemic, because with an important union between society, service providers, visitors who come to Baja California Sur, we have managed to maintain in a very complex, an acceptable rate of economic reactivation, the most dynamic in the country, “he said.
