Monterrey. – American Airlines has confirmed this since Monterey International Airport There will be a new daily route to the city of Phoenix, Arizona starting January 10, 2023.
This route will operate an Embraer E175 aircraft, which has a capacity of 76 passengers, and is expected to land at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
“American has a history of over 30 years in Monterrey and we are proud to offer the strongest programming in Mexico as the leading US airline,” said José María Giraldo, chief executive of American operations for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
“With our new service to Phoenix, American continues its expansion in Monterrey, marking an increase in capacity of more than 40% this year compared to 2021.”
On time, the flight will take place at 8:00 am, arriving in Phoenix at 9:40 am.
Meanwhile, the return would be at 7.50pm, landing at Monterrey International Airport at 11pm.
This new program was celebrated by Vicky Uzal, commercial director of American Airlines in Mexico, who expressed pride that her hometown can count on this new flight option.
“As a Monterrey native, I am very proud to see our Monterrey business grow, with a new route to Phoenix that will allow travelers to connect to more than 95 destinations,” she said.

Some of the other new routes that American Airlines has opened are: Austin-Cozumel, Mexico City-New York and Monterrey-New York, the last two available since November.
