Jo Raquel Welch was born in Chicago (Illinois, USA) on September 5, 1940.
Rakel is a mother of two children. She gained world fame thanks to the film “One Million Years BC” shot in 1966. A photo of the actress dressed as a cavewoman once became the best-selling poster of all time!

Although Rakel once agreed to a photo shoot for “Playboy” magazine, she has never posed completely naked. Not for this edition either. A photograph is most sensual when it leaves something to the viewer’s imagination and is not revealed as in the palm of your hand.
“Maybe I didn’t pose naked, because I’m a girl with very old-fashioned views and I come from a very proper family,” said Welch. “But you’ve seen me posing in bikini swimwear for at least ten years. Being called a sex symbol is very flattering and undeniably helps you succeed in show business. But there’s a limit to everything. The name sticks in people’s memory and they get the impression that you are not capable of anything else. That’s why you have to be careful.”
Rakel believed that nowadays models can be called sex symbols, because movie actresses have already crossed the line that separates erotica from pornography. Welch admired supermodels like Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer.
