Celebrities American actress Andrea Evans, best known for her roles in ‘One life to live’ and ‘The young and the restless’, died of breast cancer on Sunday at the age of 66. Her former manager Don Carroll confirms this to ‘People’.
“I have worked with Andrea for the past seven years. She was a tremendous talent and an absolute pleasure to work with,” said Don Carroll. According to the man, Evans had a small group of friends who were very close to her and who she treated like family. “People often think she looked like the characters she played on television. But in real life she preferred to spend her days without make-up, her hair in a ponytail, wearing a cap, in Disneyland with her daughter Kylie.”
Evans was best known for her role as unhinged teen Tina Lord in “One Life to Live,” for which she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 1988. She later gained even more fame with her role as Patty Williams in ‘The young and the restless’. She also acted in series ‘The bold and the beautiful’, ‘Passions’ and ‘The bay’. She also had roles in films such as ‘A low down dirty shame, ice cream man’ and ‘Hit list’.
Melissa Archer, who starred in ‘One life to live’ with the actress, says the news of her death is heartbreaking. “Andrea was a lovely woman, fun to work with, and such a professional,” Archer writes on Facebook. “I feel so lucky to have been able to work with her.” Frank Valentini, the former executive producer of ‘One life to live’, also shows his condolences on social media. “Andrea was already a big star when my career started with ‘Oltl’. She was always kind and so much fun to work with. A legend that will be sorely missed,” he writes.
