Mosley’s most famous role was as Theodore ‘TC’ Calvin in the US action series Magnum which ran from 1980–1988. It was one of the main characters, Mosley played alongside Tom Selleck, John Hillerman, Larry Manetti and Jeff MacKay.

He occasionally appeared in the series Kojak, Starsky and Hutch, Walker, Texas Ranger and Police Precinct. He made a brief appearance in the renewed Magnum in 2019.

His film roles are less well known. In the 1970s, he starred in the films Stay Hungry and Leadbelly, and later in the titles Pernicious Passion, White Cop with a Black Heart, Five Fights and Chasing the Playboy.
