Scolari has three Emmy nominations, winning it in 2016.
Peter Scolari, the universal actor who became famous for his roles in TV series and on Broadway, where he played with his longtime friend Tom Hanks in “Lucky”, has died, the Associated Press reported.
Scolari died in New York at the age of 66 after a two-year battle with cancer, said his manager Ellen Lubin Sanicki.
Among his recent roles is that of Bishop Thomas Marx in the series Evil. He was one of the funniest actors we worked with, wrote on Twitter Robert King, on whose idea the series was created.
Scolari has three Emmy nominations and in 2016 won an Emmy for his role as Ted Horvath in “Girls.”
