Gooding Jr, 54, was arrested nearly three years ago after a woman accused him of touching her breast without consent at a New York club. There came more accusations of unwanted touching against the actor, two of which also led to legal charges.

Frank Rothman, Gooding Jr.’s attorney, said on Wednesday that his client has accepted to plead guilty to one of the charges. “He admits the charge that he kissed a waitress without her consent,” Rothman said. “All other allegations have been dismissed”. If Gooding Jr behaves well in the next six months, he will get off without a criminal record, the lawyer said.

Gooding Jr had his breakthrough with the 1991 film Boyz ‘n the Hood. In 1997, his portrayal in ‘Jerry Maguire’ was awarded an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. He also played OJ Simpson in the miniseries ‘American Crime Story’.
