The boos and whistles from the Americanista fans at the Ciudad de los Deportes Stadium reflected what their team was like against Puebla: maximum desperation.
It was of no use to André Jardine’s team to dominate the 90 minutes when the match got out of hand with just one chance by the rival. Defeat (0-1) that alarms the blue-cream team and that moves them away from the important positions in the classification.
The ball possession during the match reached 71 percent for the blue-creams and 29 percent for the visitors. In the end, the striped team got their way. First away win that cuts a streak of six games without a victory.

With six points in the standings, the two-time Mexican soccer champions have yet to show their best form so far in the Apertura 2024 tournament. Not even in the Leagues Cup did they show superiority over their rivals.
América has not woken up and with only two victories in the local tournament, it is beginning to worry and despair its fans who still dream of a three-time championship, although at least for now, it seems very far away. Nothing has been seen of the current champion of the Liga MX.
