Smaller gains can be seen on European stock markets after the market opened, with the German DAX starting the day up 0.2 per cent, the French CAC up 0.1 per cent and the British FTSE 100 also up 0.1 per cent. The Spanish and Milan stock exchanges are also open, with a small increase of around 0.2 percent.
Reflecting the significant price increases, the most important interest rate decisions will come from the central banks this week, but today we cannot expect such an event yet.
