América de Cali added an important victory with a 3-0 result, this Sunday against Atlético Bucaramanga for the third day of the I-2022 League. Juan Carlos Osorio, little by little, is finding the ideal group to face the great challenges that this semester brings.
One of those fundamental players is the attacker Esneyder Mena, who this year was one of the first reinforcements of the professional team, making his debut in the previous match against Pereira and then this Sunday doing the same at ‘home’.
“It was not an easy match, but well, thank God with my teammates we were able to achieve it and it’s time to continue working, this is just beginning, a very good team has been created, a good atmosphere, they have made me feel at home, the important thing here it is to continue learning and adding from the hand of God”.
He spoke of the importance of Osorio for the squad and his football growth: “Decision-making is what the teacher works the most, in fact I go from less to more learning more from the coach every day, we are a family, the team makes everything it goes well, the work is well planned, we haven’t achieved anything yet, but with God’s help I know that the group is mentally prepared to achieve great things”.
Finally, he expressed how he felt during his debut as a local: “I don’t believe it, the first time in my life that I play in a stadium so full, I felt a lot of emotions, but well, it’s time to keep improving and I like being here, I feel well, the atmosphere feels good and I’m happy, for the fans, for everything, how they live. The truth is that I never imagined being at this point, since I am here it is something impressive, beautiful, that drives me to continue working for the team”.
