Berthold Müller has repeatedly called for this disclosure in the past. According to him, the church and the church factories are doing well to play with open cards. There is no point in hiding assets.
This means that planning can now be done on the basis of facts and concrete figures. After all, according to Müller, the existing values are “relatively considerable”. The letter of recommendation to the church factories also indicates that they must “orient themselves financially differently” than in the past.
In the interests of transparency, Michael Hennes would like the carryover from the previous year to be marked as such and not simply recorded under revenue. However, like Müller, he voted for the accounts, which all showed a surplus.
Amel’s mayor Erik Wiesemes emphasized that the aim was not to “make the valuable voluntary work in the church factory councils more difficult, but to put the cooperation between the municipality and the church factories on a new basis.”
“Bumpy track” between Halenfeld and Honsfeld is being repaired
The local council also approved the repair of the local road between Halenfeld and Honsfeld. The estimated cost is 636,000 euros (excluding VAT). The vast majority of this relates to the “buggy track” from the fork in the road above Halenfeld to the municipal border with Büllingen. Here the foundation needs to be completely renewed.
