From Ameghino to the Argentine U19 preselection
Two Ameghino players were called up to the Argentine preselection that will train with a view to the FIBA U19 World Championship that will take place in the city of RIGA, Latvia, between July 3 and 11 of this year. The first concentration will be from April 12 to 19.
They are Bautista Ott and Ignacio Ortega, who are currently part of the professional team that disputes the Argentine League. And, in turn, Julián Lorca was also shortlisted, the Lion who left Villa María months ago to go from Ameghino to the School House Preparatory in the United States, thus becoming the first ambassador of the Ameghino Academy abroad.
Ortega, a 2.02-meter pivot, is the product of the agreement signed in September last year between Ameghino and Unión Central with the sole objective of mutually enhancing each other and the players who are part of both institutions.
