AMD finally released its new processor that uses the Zen 3 architecture, and the processor is named Ryzen 5000.
Just like the Ryzen 3000 which uses the 2019 Zen 2 architecture, the Ryzen 5000 still uses 7nm manufacturing, but is promised to have a 19% increase in instruction per cycle (IPC).
They also updated the chip layout and increased the maximum boost speed, as quoted by detikINET from The Verge, Friday (9/10/2020).
The name Ryzen 5000 itself was chosen to avoid confusion with the Ryzen 4000 APU for the desktop they released some time ago. Because the Ryzen 4000 still uses the Zen 2 architecture, not Zen 3.
Broadly speaking, the performance of the Zen 3 chip increased by 26% compared to the Zen 2 CPU, even when used with motherboards with old chips. Yes, Ryzen 5000 it is compatible with previous motherboard chips which have had the firmware updated.
