AMD started selling several new processors yesterday. For the Socket AM4 platform, the manufacturer released Ryzen 7 5700X3D and Ryzen 7 5700, Ryzen 5 5600GT and Ryzen 5 5500GT chips, and for the Socket AM5 platform – the Ryzen 8000G hybrid series. And while the latter managed to be noted by reviewers, almost no one wrote about the new Ryzen 7 5700X3D and Ryzen 5000GT.
The new eight-core Ryzen 7 5700X3D is most interesting because it is a more affordable version of the still popular Ryzen 7 5800X3D. And although the Ryzen 7 5700X3D offers lower clock speeds (3.0-4.1 GHz instead of 3.4-4.5 GHz for the 5800X3D), it has the same core configuration.
There are no reviews of this processor in the Western press, since AMD did not provide samples for testing. But the Ryzen 7 5700X3D’s specs suggest its performance is on average 7-9% lower than the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, given that the lower-end model runs at 400 MHz lower.
The Ryzen 7 5700X3D is the third processor in the Vermeer line of chips (Zen 3) that uses additional 3D V-Cache technology. Previously, AMD released the eight-core Ryzen 7 5800X3D and the six-core Ryzen 5 5600X3D.
Sales of the Ryzen 7 5700X3D have already begun. Western retailers are offering the new product at a recommended price of $249. The chip has not yet appeared in Russia, but it can be purchased through the OZON platform with delivery from abroad, where the price of its BOX version (without cooler) is about 25 thousand rubles, and the OEM version is about 22 thousand rubles.
