FSR 3 includes a Frame Generation or frame generator component. Frame Generation itself is optional. It is not required to be used as part of the FSR 3 integration. However, the company has published all the necessary DLLs to use it. And this is the first time that any company has published its frame generation technology as open source. For games that already support FSR2, AMD recommends replacing FSR2 with version 3.0.

AMD says FSR3 v3.0.3 brings quality improvements and expanded support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) monitors in the frame management logic.

All the necessary tools, as well as instructions for integrating FSR 3, can be found on the GPU Open site. The source code of the technology itself is also published in the repository on GitHub.
