AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT and XTX review – RDNA3 getest

With the RX 7900 XT and 7900 XTX, AMD brings two special and innovative graphics cards to the market. Not so much because the new Radeons have a whole new level of performance, because it’s clear that Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4090 remains faster on average than the models AMD is now introducing. The main innovation lies in the design and production of various chiplets which together form a functioning whole.

According to data from AMD, the RX 7900 XTX averages up to 11% faster than an RTX 4080 at 4k ultra without ray tracing, but also 6.6% slower once ray tracing is used. The manufacturer has completely avoided comparisons to the RTX 4090 thus far, and with the previous aspect ratio it’s easy to see why. That hasn’t stopped AMD from aiming high with the new duo’s model numbers. In this review, you can read how the Radeon RX 7900 XT and 7900 XTX compare to their predecessors and the competition, and how the new graphics cards are built.
