AMD: PS5, XSX and PC are out of stock and will not get better before the second half of 2021 | XFastest News

AMD CEO Lisa Su has already hinted that the shortage of game consoles, desktop processors, and desktop GPUs will continue until the second half of 2021, with PS5 and XSX/S having the most serious impact. AMD recently released its full-year financial report. Due to its strong performance in the fourth quarter, AMD’s full-year revenue exceeded last year. Part of the good performance of Q4 is due to AMD’s launch of a series of new products, including AMD Zen 3 Ryzen processors and RX 6000 series graphics cards.

Since its launch, game consoles, desktop processors, and desktop GPUs have been facing shortages. Lisa predicts that this situation will continue until new production capacity arrives. Lisa also pointed out that the low-end computer parts used in low-end PCs and the two new mainframes are most affected because they are in the greatest demand, while the prospects for new inventory of high-end price parts in the same period look optimistic.

Lisa’s statement is consistent with NVIDIA’s previous statement, which has stated that the supply of RTX 30 series graphics cards will not improve before April 2021. In the Microsoft earnings report yesterday, Microsoft also stated that the best situation for the XSX/S out-of-stock problem will not get better until April 2021.
