New stepping of processors usually does not mean a change of basic specifications or refresh, but in this case it will probably not only be stepping, but also new SKUs of Ryzen 5000 processors known as Vermeer. According to Patrick Schur AMD is working on at least two new models, and there are likely to be more, as it would be strange for the company to prepare only a new version of the 16-core and 6-core models. –

We have two models here, namely the probably improved Ryzen 9 5950X model and next to it a possible replacement for the Ryzen 5 5600X. However, while the 16-core model has at least a 100 MHz higher turbo than the current version, the 6-core model has identical clocks to the Ryzen 5 5600X processor, however, these may not be final yet. Of course, without higher beats, it would not make sense to market the Ryzen 5 5600XT processor, in which case it would simply be a new stepping, so we’ll see.
AMD can again prepare new Ryzens with the XT designation during the summer, which would of course represent only a very slight increase in performance as well as the XT models from the previous generation Ryzen 3000. And of course, this does not mean that Zen 3+ processors cannot come on the market this year. known as Warhol, as last year (July 7) the Ryzen 3000 XT processors came on the market, and four months later AMD launched a brand new Ryzen 5000.
However, we have only heard about Warhol processors so far thanks to leaked roadmaps, and no prototype has yet appeared. One of the first samples of the processor Vermeer appeared just a year ago, on May 19, but there is still time for this information, and if Warhol really enters, we should know about their development in August at the latest. –
