An ambulance was stolen on Wednesday evening in Utrecht. The perpetrator then hit several cars with an ambulance. The police managed to stop the person.
Police received a report Wednesday evening that the ambulance driver had damaged several cars. A report arrived shortly after that an ambulance had been stolen on the Lange Nieuwstraat.
Ambulance officers were there to assist a patient. According to the police, the theft had no consequences for the patient because another ambulance arrived quickly.
The reason for the theft is not yet clear. The police will question the perpetrator about this.
