The ambulance queue was caused by registration, because it took time to process the patient registration.
SuaraJakarta.id – A video recording the incident of a number of cars ambulance queued up to enter the Covid-19 Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (9/15/2020) evening.
Responding to the incident, Deputy Commander of the Integrated Joint Task Command or Kogasgabpad RSD Wisma Atlet, Brigadier General M Saleh said that the queue was nothing new. According to him, the queue for the ambulance was caused by registration, because it takes time in the registration process, so the ambulance is waiting for its turn.
“It’s not long, it’s just a queue for registration lists,” said Saleh when confirmed, Tuesday (9/15/2020).
Saleh explained that the number of patients referred to RSD Wisma Atlet is indeed large. The average number of people who came was 100 people, they were referred from various health centers.
“Yes (many have entered). From the health center to the guesthouse up to 100 people,” he said.
Furthermore, Saleh revealed that the queue for ambulances had occurred since Monday (14/9) night.
According to him, registration doesn’t actually take long, it’s just that positive patients without symptoms or OTG are constrained by limited facilities.
“Not long, only if the OTG has limited facilities, because the ER is also narrow,” he said.
Previously reported, a video showed a long queue of a number of ambulances in front of the Wisma Atlet Covid-19 Emergency Hospital, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Tuesday night. Reportedly, the ambulance was waiting in line to enter the Athletes House.
The video was uploaded by a Twitter account user @tyar *** at 20.58 WIB. From the video, it can be seen that several ambulances are queuing to enter the Wisma Atlet area.
“Yes (in line). That’s the front entrance,” said Ottiara F. Akbariah, owner of the Twitter account @tyar *** when contacted by Suara.com, Tuesday night.
Ottiara admitted that he was not the one who recorded the incident. He got the video from a friend who was being referred to Wisma Atlet Hospital.
“I just got the latest video from a friend who was referred to the Athlete House and I can only say – you’re crazy, Indonesia !,” said Ottiara completing the video statement he uploaded.
