The Association of Volunteer Blood Donors of the Pays de Muzillac (Morbihan) organized, Wednesday December 8, 2021, at the Lenn Hall in Ambon, his last collection of the year. 90 donors showed up, 6 of them for the first time. New donors with each blood drive
The fundraising, as everywhere in France, suffers a little from sanitary measures, but, compared to last year, we are maintaining, with 588 donations (581 in 2020). There are still new donors each time and that’s good ”,
comments Didier Gourdon, president of the association. He recalls that, as the French Blood Establishment EFS reports, blood reserves are currently very low, less than 85,000 blood donations are available today, while 10,000 donations are needed every day to meet the needs of patients. The mobilization must continue. Patients always need transfusions, including during this special time when everyone is refocusing more on their loved ones and family.
