Nothing that was not expected or already announced but here is the confirmation that Amber Heard does not fit with the verdict that her ex-husband won Johnny Depp in the libel process against him. The plaintiff’s lawyers have in fact filed the request for cancellation of the trial, including the 10.35 million dollars in damages awarded to the plaintiff de Pirates of the Caribbean, who in the meantime travels the world with his concerts and gives fans hope for a return of the franchise.

In the aftermath of the sentence, the actress had stated that would go on appeal. Heard’s lawyers’ claim rests on the belief that insufficient evidence has been presented and that there has been a formal defect involving a juror who was born in 1970, despite court officials listing the year of birth as 1945. According to them, this error would indicate that the jurors were not adequately supervised. According to attorneys following Heard, the actress’s $ 10.35 million in compensation against Depp is “inconsistent and irreconcilable” with the jury’s conclusion that both she and her ex-husband have defamed each other.

After the conclusion of the trial in Virginia Amber Heard appeared in some programs, most notably in a long interview with Nbcreiterating his version of events (“I told the truth in the face of power and I paid the price”) and arguing that the jurors were influenced by the media role of the ex-husband: “The jury was not immune and the process was not fair“.
