Ambassador of Azerbaijan discusses Heydar Aliyev’s centenary and Azerbaijan’s independence on Peruvian state television

The centenary of the birth of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the 105th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s independence were discussed on Peruvian state television, reports AZERTAC.

The Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Peru, Mammad Talibov, participated as a guest in the famous Conecta Perú program of the most influential state television in the country, TV Perú, answered the questions of the presenters in the live broadcast, and gave detailed information about the history and the realities of his country.

A promotional video clip about Azerbaijan was presented at the beginning of the program. The video clip highlighted that Azerbaijan is the first democratic parliamentary republic in the Muslim East, recognized as one of the centers of tolerance and multiculturalism in the world, restored territorial integrity by ending 30 years of occupation, and carried out large-scale reconstruction works. in those areas.

Ambassador Talibov stressed that this year, in addition to the 105th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s independence, also marks the centenary of the birth of the founder of modern Azerbaijan, National Leader Heydar Aliyev. As noted, in 1918, Azerbaijan wrote its name in history by building the first example of a democratic, legal and secular state in the entire East, including the Turco-Islamic world, and played an unprecedented role in the history of the statehood despite the fact that the People’s Republic lived only 23 months.

It was emphasized that after gaining independence in the 1990s, at a time when Azerbaijan was facing the threat of socio-economic decline and loss of state sovereignty, the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev protected Azerbaijan’s independence with his rescue mission and laid the foundations for dynamic development by eliminating the socio-political crisis that was plaguing the country. It was stated that as a result of the resolute policy of Heydar Aliyev, today Azerbaijan has become a strong and influential state at the international level, a major energy and transport center, many important transnational projects have been implemented under the initiative and leadership of the country. , and modern Azerbaijan is firmly moving on the path of development.

During the program, Azerbaijan’s multicultural values, rich tourism potential, education and scholarship opportunities available in the country for foreign citizens as well as young Peruvians were discussed.
