The Amazon taxi, which was released on YouTube that day, is a fully autonomous electric vehicle. There is no separate driver’s seat, and the internal structure has 4 passengers facing each other.

Jux introduced that the vehicle can drive 16 hours on a single charge, and the maximum driving speed is 75 miles per hour (about 120 km). Cameras and radars were installed in four corners of the vehicle to eliminate blind spots. In particular, it is possible to drive in both directions, so it is easy to change direction even in a narrow space. The two-way driving function is a function that cannot be seen in other autonomous vehicles, such as Alphabet’s Waymo and General Motors’ Cruise.

Zox is currently testing driving in Las Vegas, Nevada, Foster City, California, and San Francisco, and plans to launch its first commercial service in San Francisco and Las Vegas in the future through call-to-application service.

CNBC predicts that Amazon is using self-driving trucks to transport some cargo, and that ZOX could be used for Amazon’s logistics delivery in the future.
