(dpa) The wave of layoffs in the tech industry continues: 9,000 more employees are said to lose their jobs at Amazon. Company boss Andy Jassy announced the second round of job cuts in an email to employees on Monday. At the beginning of the year, the world’s largest online mail order company had already cut 18,000 of its more than 1.5 million jobs at the time. This time, jobs in the AWS cloud division, in the advertising business and in the live streaming service Twitch are to be eliminated. A few days ago, the Facebook group Meta announced another job cut.
