Amazon subsidiary Ring introduces a flying surveillance camera for the home | NOW

Amazon presented Thursday evening the Ring Always Home Cam, a drone camera that can fly to pre-selected places in the house.

The camera turns itself off automatically when the aircraft is not flying. The drone makes noise so that no one can be recorded without knowing it, Amazon promises.

The Home Cam will cost $ 249 (over € 213) in the United States and will be available there from 2021. It is not known when the drone will be on the market in the Netherlands.

The device was announced at the Amazon Devices Event, where a new Ring car alarm was also announced. The Ring Car Alarm automatically sends a message to your phone if your car is hit by something, broken into or towed.

Amazon has redesigned its Echo Show. The Echo Show 10 has a screen that actually rotates with you when you move. The intention is that users can, for example, walk through the kitchen and still see their smart screen.
