War War never changes. Amazon has released the first teaser trailer for its Fallout adaptation, and it starts off much like the game, with a Vault Dweller leaving the comfort of his home to explore the dangerous post-apocalyptic Wasteland outside. And, of course, it is dangerous.
This time the vault’s resident is named Lucy (Ella Purnell), and the short trailer shows her experiencing many of the episode’s key moments. These include horribly mutated animals, destroyed cities, the militant Brotherhood of Steel, uprisings in the Vaults, Wild West-style shootouts, and a very good dog who is also a killer. And, of course, classic tunes – in this case, Nat King Cole’s “I Don’t Wanna See Tomorrow.” The series takes place 200 years after the apocalypse; The trailer ends with a nuclear explosion that changes the world forever.
Fallout will begin streaming on Prime Video on April 12, marking the first major new story project in the Fallout universe since the online game Fallout 76 in 2018 (or Fallout 4 in 2015, if you count single-player games only).
