Amazon, Shein, Pimkie or H&M : the sign Dark Market opened its doors Saturday, February 11, 2023 To Tourcoing (North)to the delight of fans of destocking.
Products sold on e-commerce
“That nothing is ever the same”: this is the objective of Zighem, manager of Dark Market. With a restocking planned every two weeks, there is no doubt that this new brand will change its face as the arrivals go by. Furniture, electronic products, small household appliances, and clothing for everyone: it’s a destocking giant that has just set up in Tourcoing.
Its strong point: products sold on e-commerce, starting with Amazon and the ready-to-wear brand Shein, which have been very successful since 2020. In these tote boxes, you will find three categories of products that were supposed to be thrown away.
Recovery, unsold or returned products
What is sold at Dark Market is none other than “recovered” unsold items or products that consumers have returned. Grades A, B and C will thus guide customers through the store:
- Grade A, often sold off at 30, 40 or 50% of its price, represents products that have been returned and have never been used.
- Grade B can also be called “used product”: the packaging is defective, or has been used and then returned.
- Grade C represents so-called “non-functional” items or which have a major defect, which will be sold off at up to 85% of their price. These products are also often purchased in destocking for their parts.
“With Dark Market, we want to prove that the products that are supposed to be destroyed still have a place on the market,” says the store manager. From May, the brand’s website will be fully functional, with the possibility of placing orders.
