In order to support new talent, Paul Forat, director of Amazon Music Mexico, opted to create different programs that enhance artistic skills.
Such is the case of Nicole Horts, a young Mexican woman who participates in the fourth season of the Rompe Mx program, which airs on Mondays at 8:00 p.m. on Amazon’s Twitch channel.

“We have a responsibility to the music industry; I was very involved in various areas of the industry and I know first-hand the need for a new artist to look for someone to give them a boost, so from this side it is appropriate to extend a small hand that, for many, represents a lot”, stated Forat.
“Until the artist doesn’t ‘break’ it, we won’t let go. We have gone along this axis, in which it is not only to receive support in the program, but also to continue accompanying the artist in different aspects”, added the executive.
Thanks to digital platforms, it has been possible to discover much more talent, but, at the same time, it is more difficult to select who to bet on because Forat’s initial objective is to consolidate long-term careers.
“How to detect talent, because I don’t have the exact answer, whatever moves us we’re going to support it, the decision to support it would be if I believe in an artist, but it’s because of something that moved me; instinct tells me: ‘let’s try it’. I think the secret is to trust our instincts, review what is happening on the networks and the data, and throw ourselves away,” Forat said.
Another of the conflicts that have been detected is that not all of those who have millions of followers have the necessary skills to establish themselves as artists of different disciplines, according to the Amazon director.
“There are more artists who are not artists, now there are more people who see in the artist profession an opportunity to shine, be famous and connect and it is valid, but that leads to true artists hiding or it is more difficult for a man to come out. artist with a longer career possibility,” shared Forat.
As for Horts’ projects, the young woman announced that she will soon release her debut album, even without a title. With this she will deliver 14 songs of her authorship, with which she will seek to present herself to new audiences.

“I see my path as a game, I like to explore, I don’t want to close myself off, or have a position of denial before new genres, I always seek to discover myself, right now I am in the process of knowing who I am.
“This disco album is very conceptual, ambition won me over and I think I did achieve what I wanted, I feel very excited to show it, without a doubt it has been a transformational journey,” said Horts.
