The company stated that the place benefits from a good connection to the D1, Kojetín is practically located next to this highway, the building will have four floors and a total floor area of 190,000 square meters.

“Employees will work with innovative technologies, including robotic units, which will help them in the daily processing of customer orders and more efficient use of storage space,” added the general manager of Amazon in the Czech Republic Michal Šmíd.

The building is being built on a brownfield, in the area of the former railway station and sugar factory, and the mayor Leoš Ptáček appreciates that it will take up little arable land. The construction also promises a smaller outflow of young people from a predominantly rural region.
