Amazon Introduces New Kindle With USB-C Port and Better Screen – Tablets & Phones – New

For me it is too little and too late. I previously had Kindles a few years older, but I wanted a larger screen with a finer resolution and more options. That old Kindle didn’t have a backlight either, but they might have it these days.

I finally settled on the Onyx Boox Nova3. It works with Android, so you can use that ecosystem. But you can also borrow books from the library. And in any way you want to read what you want. I also wanted to read some manga that got very badly posted on Amazon, but that makes it even easier to find an alternative. Now I have all the benefits of the Kindle ecosystem without being tied to it.

But it costs quite a bit. Amazon won’t sell its Kindles for too much profit, but it gets them from ebooks and audiobooks.
