Amazon France removed from its website sex dolls with …

Amazon France removed from its sales platform “sex dolls that look like girls”. The French Secretary of State for Children and Families, Adrien Taquet, highlighted the role of the International Association of Incest Victims who had denounced the sale of the product.

“As a result of the alert from the associations, which I appreciate, I have asked (Amazon France) to stop marketing sex dolls in the shape of girls on their platform, which Amazon France has done immediately by committing to remain vigilant“Taquet announced on his Twitter account.

The French official affirmed that “prohibiting pedocriminality in our society is the responsibility of each one” and that in the coming months the State will set up an “independent commission on child sexual violence.”

For its part, Amazon France issued a statement in which they assure that “the protection of children and adolescents is a priority for us.”

“All selling partners must follow our sales policies and any violation leads to the application of appropriate measures, including especially the potential deletion of the seller’s account.”, the company text continues.

During the weekend, the International Association of Incest Victims warned on Twitter that “pedophile sex dolls that look like a girl” were marketed on Amazon. These objects, the Association pointed out, are “illegal since article 227-23 of the Penal Code prohibits the representation of a minor when this representation has a pornographic character.”

The organization congratulated the French government for its quick intervention and recalled that a similar case happened in Amazon UK in 2018.
