(dpa) Amazon has canceled its plans for a large new location in New York. The world’s largest online retailer referred on Thursday primarily to resistance from local politics. The planned settlement in Long Island City in the borough of Queens was the result of a large-scale search for a “second headquarters” to complement the previous company headquarters in Seattle.
