TikTok immediately replied that he did not understand Amazon’s concerns. Amazon said it mistakenly sent an email to employees telling them to delete the popular TikTok video app from their phones.
“This morning’s email was sent to some of our employees by mistake. There are no changes to our policies at this time in regards to TikTok,” said Amazon.
“We still don’t understand their concerns,” continued TikTok adding that the company would welcome a dialogue to address Amazon’s problems. Concerns the Chinese Internet giant have accumulated concerns in the West ranging from the censorship of videos, including those critical of the Chinese government, from the threat of sharing user data with Chinese officials to the violation of children’s privacy.
