Oh how we love glampings. In all fairness, it’s a fancy word for camping but with all the extra perks! Glampings offer comfortable beds, pretty accessories, and luxury add-ons. Take a look at these amazing glampings in Belgium!
The Cabins of Ostend
You can find a secret garden in a tiny urban forest right off the city center. Dutchman René Snel designed it, and these modular houses are made of sustainable materials and are on their way to becoming 100% biodegradable homes. What is quite impressive about this tiny house, is that there is space for a large dining table, a sitting area with a wood stove, and a big open kitchen. Next to the big bedroom, the two smaller bunks with round windows are cozy, adventurous, and comfy.
They might just be the best-designed family wikkelhouses we know
But at The Cabins of Ostendit’s not just about the inside. They thought about everything you need to indulge, feel spoiled and have a family experience without leaving the little oases. Breakfast arrives at your doorstep. If you desire some eggs for your morning meal, your kids can collect them from the chicken run. Nice and fresh. You can also harvest your own vegi’s from the garden. Your drinks and other goodies await you in their honesty shop. And last but not least, The wood-chopping experience will keep your kids entertained while you have another coffee.
Green Fields, Durbuy
The people behind Tomorrowland and festival village Dreamville have been busy. They are hosting the biggest glamping in Belgium so far. Dream away in one of the 8 different and unique accommodations (book them here) – normally only available to Tomorrowland visitors. Book activities, massages and eat well. Each day Green Fields will host a cozy apero at the Montagne around the swimming pool. Filled with downtempo music, delicious food, drinks, and stunning entertainment. Out of respect the DJs and entertainment will end by 10 PM. If you ask us, it has all the ingredients of a festival, but luxurious. durbuygreenfields.com
Nutchel, Ardennes
The Nutchel Forest Camp is located in the middle of the Belgian Ardennes, in Martelange. The 26 “cozy cabins” all have a stylish design and a comfortable interior. They are designed in such a way that they blend in beautifully with the surrounding nature. The cabins are heated with wood stoves and lit with oil lamps.
You can gather wood in the woods and burn it yourself, very romantic in winter!
In the morning you will be awakened by the song of birds and the scent of nature will come at you as soon as you open the doors. In the evening, the oil lamps provide a romantic atmosphere and if you look up you have a chance to win a beautiful starry sky. You can swim in the summer near the camp. Canoeing or kayaking is possible on a lake that is about a twenty-minute drive away. Do you want to relax extra? Then book a cabin with a hot tub! Even better, there is also a sauna that you can rent privately for several hours. nutchel.be
Les Cabanes de Rensiwez
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to bring your own tent or campervan to this glamping, but their amazing accommodations make up for it! We stayed here a few years ago, and the scenery is amazing! Sleep in hobbit-like houses or a treehouse with a wooden bathtub, the options are endless. In the morning you can order your fresh French-style breakfast and you can really enjoy the surroundings.
If you’re planning a trip to the Belgium coast with or without your kids, you might want to consider to spoil yourself a bit more and book one of these amazing glampings in Belgium!
