Huami has just officially presented the new one in China Amazfit Zepp E, the new smartwatch top of the range that will be available in two equally elegant variants. In fact, interested parties can choose the shape of the device they prefer: with round dial, more like a classic watch, or rectangular, more modern and in line with the idea of smartwatches.
As you can imagine, the shape of the case also has its consequences on the display: while the circular variant has one 1.28 “screen with 416 x 416 pixel resolution (density 326 ppi), the square one reaches 1,65″ e 348 x 442 pixel (341 ppi). For the rest the two models are identical and sport one 188 mAh battery which guarantees, according to what has been declared, up to 7 days of autonomy using the smart functions or 15 days if used as a simple watch.

Moving on to the functions Amazfit Zepp E offers, through the app of the same name, 11 monitoring modes for sports activity, sleep quality, SpO2 blood oxygenation, heart rate and pressure. A note that may be interesting for various potential buyers is the presence of the NFC chip also enabled for contactless payments.
At the moment Huami has not announced the arrival of the smartwatch in the West so we can only report the prices of the variants marketed in China starting from 1,499 ¥ (circa 180€ at today’s exchange rate) to which you can add about ten euros if you are interested in the leather strap instead of silicone (in particular the round variant has 4 different ones, while the rectangular one only 2).
