Founded in 2008 by Dominique Cellier, doctor at the Léon-Bérard center and Annie Copolat, this association puts on and performs plays, “for the pleasure of the game and the joy of sharing”. With its volunteers, four actors and two managers, this troop of amateurs tours a lot, and towards all audiences.
Financing a pain measurement device
Some of their creations are even specially dedicated to seniors or children. The room Bémot Funeral Directors has already been performed 26 times, across the AuRA region, for example. When their production costs have been paid, the artists redistribute the proceeds from the performances to charitable causes. In particular, thanks to the partnership with the Institute of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology (IHOP), a first check for 10,000 euros was presented a few months ago. A new donation of 5,000 euros was added today, for the purchase of a pain measuring device. And other projects are still to come.
The Flame of Life, also rewarded during this evening, received a check for 500 euros. This will allow it to finance its leisure activities outside the hospital, aimed at children seriously ill with various pathologies.
Finally, the Lyon Monts d’Or Lions Club wanted to make its contribution to the exchanges: thus closing the loop of generosity, its representatives presented the Domani company with a check for 2,380 euros, the result of solidarity events.
