Amateur theater returns to the stage with Castelló a Scene

The Castelló a Scene cycle prepares its return to the stage next January 9, with a program that will run until May 2. In the current edition, 11 amateur companies from the city participate, with a total of 15 works. The performances will take place at the Teatre del Raval and there will be double sessions (Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 p.m., since the schedules have been adapted to the new mobility restrictions at night). Tickets are priced at 5 euros to the amphitheater and 6 euros to the stalls. Likewise, the box office will be open two hours before the performances begin.

This was agreed by the Councilor for Culture, Verònica Ruiz, with the representatives of the participating companies, in a meeting held in October 2020 and which marked “the health measures that have to define this new edition of amateur theater programming, a new proposal of safe culture that we are now adapting so that the public can continue to enjoy this amateur aspect of the theater ”, the mayor stressed.

Castelló a Scene will open the 26th edition with the company Amigos del Teatro with ‘Balada de los tres inocentes’. On January 16 and 17 it will be the turn of Taronger with ‘Los materiles’ and ‘Fenómenos’. The company Entre Bastidores will debut in this edition on January 23 and 24 with ‘Let me hear you’.
