When Alsatian clubs inspire their Ile-de-France counterparts. Like the movement born in the Grand-Est region, several clubs have decided not to pay the last part of their contributions to their League under the 2nd installment of licenses for the 2020-2021 season. The slingshot was organized by Philippe Calvé, president of FC Parisis, a Val-d’Oisien club whose pennant team operates at the departmental level (9th level).
“I found it amazing that the League asked me to send a transfer of 4,469 euros when we only played 2 months of competition in September and October, said Philippe Calvé. I lost 14% of licensees this season (720 against 838 the previous season) while neighboring clubs have lost up to 25% of their workforce. This decrease will be accentuated next year and this will have an impact on the championships because if we do not line up a team in the U14, U16 and U18 categories, the pennant team is automatically relegated. “
After the probable end of the championships announced by Noël Le Graët this Wednesday morning, the president of FC Parisis wants to save money in order to offer an attractive price to his licensees next year. “We must make our licensees want to stay and they themselves or their parents are suffering the full brunt of this health crisis,” indicates the one who offers licenses between 180 and 200 euros depending on the category. Maybe we won’t give the license a tracksuit to bring the price down further. “
The League stunned by the slingshot of these clubs
If the League of Paris-Ile-de-France announces the figure of 32 refractory clubs, the initiators of the movement claim more than a hundred. Felipe Rocha Dos Santos, president of the Paris Women’s Football club (70 licensed), has decided to pay his second deposit. “Last year the Paris League paid us 10 euros per licensee and I think we will be helped again this season,” says the Parisian president. In my club, we are committed to ensuring that our sponsors take charge of the membership fees on condition that they commit to next season. We must not forget that among our players there are students who are currently in great precariousness. I am sure that after the elections the federation will take action, we have to wait a bit. All this is to make noise about nothing. There must be a political reason with the elections for the presidency of the FFF. “
The League of Paris-Ile-de-France is stunned by the sling of these clubs. “For me it is surprising and inappropriate not to want to pay this 2nd deposit,” says Jamel Sandjak, president of the Ligue de Paris Ile-de-France. Mr. Calvé requested aid of 10,000 euros from the League for the purchase of a minibus and we helped his club up to 500 euros for their Coupe de France match (beaten in the 7th round against JA Drancy). This president puts in difficulty the management of the League and its licensees are not insured. The Paris League has redistributed one million euros to the clubs. We refunded all the contributions and all the commitments of the teams at the end of last season. We refunded the executive licenses. There is also a solidarity fund of 2 euros per licensee, ie 540,000 euros. The League will continue to be benevolent next year by working with the federation. “Words that do not seem to reassure the rebellious clubs.
