Amanda Staveley raises funds to buy Tottenham Hotspur: Report

Staveley was a former investor in Newcastle United.

After leaving St James’ Park earlier this summer, former Newcastle United teammate Amanda Staveley believes it is “possible” she could invest in another football club. She is currently considering her options.

The 51-year-old Yorkshire-born businessman has been mentioned as a possible summer investment candidate for Tottenham Hotspur. He is likely to buy a minority stake in the Premier League side.

Staveley’s investment fund business, PCP Capital Partners, has raised more than £500m, according to a recent Bloomberg article. They are considering investing in sports.

In talks with LIV Golf on the PGA Tour, the former Newcastle owner is expected to continue his work with Saudi Arabia’s PIF, among his many other ventures.

A recent Bloomberg report suggested that Spurs adviser Rothschild & Co. could invest after “early talks.”

Asked by The Athletic what she had to say about a potential investment in Spurs, Amanda Staveley replied: – Not much, I’m afraid.

“I would love to stay at Newcastle, but things don’t always go the way you want.

“Nothing can repeat that. I fell in love with Newcastle, the club and the people and that can’t change, but I didn’t want to go the way of Newcastle. It has to be about what’s best for Newcastle.

Mehrdod and I are ready to join hands. We are hard-working people, I like to be very busy and occupied and I like football.

“Unfortunately we have to move on to other projects and that could involve us in another club or buying another club, and that is difficult. But it is possible.

“I don’t know what the future holds for me but you can never forget the love I have for Newcastle and I want to play again. I’m a Geordie now. I’m a Yorkshire Geordie but I’ll do it. I always have so much chemistry and love.”
