Amanda Aizpuriete was a poet, prose writer, storyteller and translator. Ten collections of poems and a novel have been published.

She has translated about 40 novels from English, German and Russian, rewritten poems from German, Russian, Ukrainian and English. Received the Ojāras Vācieš literary prize for the collection “Turp” (2013) and the special award for the collection “Ledusskapja šūpuļdziesma” (2011), the Poetry Days Award for the poetry collection “Babeles nomalė” (2000), etc.
