The Council of State is an independent advisor to the Government and Parliament on matters of legislation and administration, as well as the highest general administrative court in the Netherlands. The King is the President of the Council of State, while the Princess of Orange has been a member since she turned 18, as part of her preparation for her future role. In the case of Queen Máxima, the consort is part of the advisory division, but does not have the right to vote. The Queen was not present at this evening. Princess Alexiawho was present at the central event of the Prinsjesdag, while the heiress did accompany her parents.
Amalia’s impressive change
Just like last Tuesday, the Princess of Orange dazzled again thanks to her choice of style for this event. On this occasion, Amalia opted for a beautiful evening dress in midnight blue, which looked very flattering on her and which further highlighted her impressive physical change.

Princess Amalia’s dress is by the Alex Perry Rowan brand. It is a mermaid-style design with a square neckline and long sleeves. The eldest daughter of the King and Queen combined it with a diamond necklace that Queen Emma gave to her daughter Queen Wilhelmina at the beginning of the 20th century and some matching diamonds.

For her part, Queen Máxima has also opted for blue, although in this case in its lightest shade. The Argentine has rescued from her wardrobe a Valentino design with lace details and a strapless neckline. The wife of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands has worn it on several occasions since she debuted it more than a decade ago. She has combined it with aquamarine jewelry, perfect for this look. Both the Queen and the Princess of Orange have worn their hair up, which allowed their jewelry to be seen perfectly.
