In addition, they have been awarded by the US and Canadian station Global Village as one of the 20 best folk records worldwide of the year 2022, and have recently been nominated for the MIN awards in Spain and the OWMR awards in the United Kingdom. Advance tickets for this musical show cost twelve euros.
Also on Saturday but later, at 9:00 p.m., the music of the state of Oaxaca will be the protagonist on the stage of the Cervantes Theater in Valladolid with a variety of rhythms ranging from wind bands in the Sierra; sones and jarabes in the Mixteca; chilenas on the coast or sones and huapangos in the Papaloapan basin accompanied by harp and jaranas.
Advance tickets for this performance are priced at 15 euros, although the theater has indicated that retirees and students can purchase it at a price of twelve euros.
SUNDAY SHOW
On Sunday, at 8:00 pm, it will be the turn of ‘Antología de la zarzuela’, a show designed both for lovers of zarzuela and for those who are approaching this genre for the first time.
Through the selection of the most casual fragments of the different zarzuelas that have been composed, the leading artists of this show offer an hour and a half performance in which duets, triplets and ensemble numbers follow one another, along with funny talk.
The continuous changes of costumes and sets, together with a set design and drama written “on purpose, make this ‘Antología de la Zarzuela’, “a fun tool at the service of all ages”, the statement concludes.
