Alzheimer Café Ridderkerk Workshop: Say YES to Dementia with Freya Flach and Hanneke van de Pol

On Monday, January 8, 2024, there will be another Alzheimer Café Ridderkerk in Wijkcentrum West at Boksdoornstraat 80. The topic is ‘Say YES to dementia’. The speakers are Freya Flach and Hanneke van de Pol.

Do you care for someone with dementia? And do you ever encounter difficult situations? Caring for someone with dementia can be quite a challenge. In this workshop you will learn how to make and maintain positive contact with your person with dementia. The workshop is full of recognizable examples, practical tips and exercises that help you better help and understand those with dementia.

The Alzheimer Café is a meeting place for people with dementia, their relatives, friends and other interested parties. The Alzheimer Café takes place every 2nd Monday of the month. The evening starts at 7:30 PM. Entry from 7:00 PM.

There is an information stand with brochures from Alzheimer Nederland and books with various topics about dementia. You can borrow these books for free. This activity is organized by the Alzheimer Café Ridderkerk working group consisting of Facet Mantelzorg, Salem, Lelie Zorggroep, Internos and Aafje and Alzheimer Nederland.
