Schiedam – Major events such as the Alzheimer Café, the Parkinson Café and the Roze Salon will be organized again within the Frankeland group from this month. Everyone is very welcome!
The Alzheimer Café Schiedam is for people who have to deal with memory problems or (starting) dementia or people who care for a loved one with dementia. Here you can also get more information about this disease, talk to professionals and/or have contact with fellow sufferers.
The Frankelandgroep organizes an Alzheimer Café in Frankeland (Sint Liduinastraat 10, Schiedam) every second Tuesday of the month at 7.30 pm (walk-in: 7 pm). The next Alzheimer Cafés will take place on April 12, May 10 and June 14.
Parkinson Cafe
Parkinson’s is intended for people who care for a loved one with Parkinson’s. Here you can get more information about this disease, talk to professionals and/or get in touch with fellow sufferers.
The Frankelandgroep organizes a Parkinson Café in Frankeland once every two months, on the third Tuesday of the month, always at 7.30 p.m. (walk-in: 7 p.m.). Admission is free, registration is not necessary. The next Parkinson Café will take place on 17 May.
Pink Salon
Do you sometimes find it difficult to talk openly about your sexual orientation or gender identity? Or would you like to come into contact in a relaxed way with, for example, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and/or intersex elderly (LGBTI elderly)? Then you are most welcome at the Roze Salon.
The Pink Salon takes place every last Tuesday of the month from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm in the Winter Garden in Frankeland. The next meetings are on April 26, May 31 and June 28. ‘On arrival you can report to the reception and you will be met by one of our employees’, reports the Frankelandgroep.
