Alza is now selling the keyboard C-Tech Archus GKB-15 for 99 CZK. It is at least half as expensive elsewhere, and the average price in e-shops is twice as much. However, there is only one interesting thing about such a cheap keyboard – for the few crowns, it also has a backlight.
But diodes are the simplest possible. You can turn the rainbow LEDs on or off as much as possible, you cannot choose your own colors. And the light doesn’t pass through the caps, it only shines through around the keys, so the printed characters won’t be visible much anyway.
User reviews also point to other ailments that you would expect at a similar price level. The manufacturer used the cheapest plastics and membrane switches. The keys are said to be quite stiff, the press is uncertain, sometimes they do not go back up after being pressed. But the plus is the Czech localization and classic layout without fads.
